One of the famous dive locations in Komodo and often ranked within the world’s top 10 best dive sites, diving in Batu Bolong is a must. Due to the strong currents, diving at a specific time and which side of the dive will be important.
The strong currents mean the underwater biodiversity is a piece of heaven in the ocean. Colorful hard corals, sponges, whitetip and blacktip reef sharks, hawksbill sea turtles, green turtles and loggerhead turtles, giant trevally, napoleon wrasse, dogtooth tuna, barracuda, schools of fusiliers and surgeons, giant sweetlips at cleaning stations, huge moray eels, tiny orangutan crabs, and many more. If you’re lucky, you can spot manta rays or blue-ringed octopus.
