Numamuram Island Dive Site in

Cenderawasih Bay

Aside from another Japanese shipwreck from the Second World War, which lies around 12 meters below the surface level, marine life is going to amaze you. You can find sea fan corals scattered around and even green humphead parrotfish, the largest species of parrotfish whose numbers are declining due to overharvesting.

The area is the wealthiest coral reef diversity in the Indo-Pacific region, with around 220 species per hectare.
