This Ambon-Sorong cruise liveaboard will visit the Northern part of the Ring of Fire before heading to Triton bay, then Misool before ending in Sorong. Great selection of the very best scuba dive sites on this unique itinerary.

DAYS 1 – AMBON/check dive if possible.

MSY Seahorse crew is standing by to welcome you on board. Safety Briefing, Crew Introduction, Necessary Dive Paperwork, Cabin allocation, and ship orientation will take place before departing. During the first day take this opportunity to familiarize yourself with the vessel and make yourself comfortable.

DAY 2 – AMBON BAY / 3-4 dives

Critters and muck diving. Shipwreck, a Dutch shipwreck, Twilight zone a muck dive site, and an Aviation jetty with frogfishes, devil fish, Coleman’s shrimp, and many other critters.

DAY 3 – NUSA LAUT / 3-4 dives

Dives close to Ameth village. Excellent coral reef with large Acropora stands, schools of fishes, lot of life.

DAY 4 – SUANGI / 3-4 dives

Opportunities for pelagic with sharks, Manta rays, and a profusion of life. 2 dives in this area before sailing to Banda Neira where we arrive with the sunset for a mandarin fish dive.

DAY 5 – BANDA NEIRA / 3-4 dives

Banda islands with Lava flow dive. After the last eruption in 1988, corals’ regrowth boosted by minerals is impressive. After a second dive in Batu Kapal, pinnacles covered with sea fans and sponges, the afternoon will be dedicated to some shore visits: the fort and some spices plantations. Night Dive.

DAY 6 – BANDA RUN & AI / 3-4 dives

DAY 7 – PULAU HATTA / 3-4 dives.

DAYS 8 – PULAU MANUK / 3-4 dives

DAY 9 – PULAU KOON / 3-4 dives

An incredible reef with walls, slopes, overhangs, caves, and huge sponges, also named too many fishes, is really one of the best dive sites for fish life in Indonesia, with the possibility to see big fishes. Macro life is also pretty good with leaf fishes, rubber eels, and some more. Departure in the evening, after a night dive.

DAY 10 – MISOOL FIABACET / 3-4 dives

We reach the South East of Misool and dive into the area of Yellet and Boo. Batu Kecil is an excellent dive, a pinnacle reef system with great soft corals and dense fish life. Boo point East is another soft coral-rich dive, where you can observe schools of batfishes, turtles, and napoleon wrasses.

DAY 11 – MISOOL BALBULOL / 3-4 dives

Some more dives in Misool in the area of Balbulol. Pet rock, candy store, and Andiamo MISOOL EAST – Three rocks, a marvelous small pass between two rocks, lined with sea fans and whip corals. Caves and Wall and No contest will probably be the two other dives of the day, but there are other possibilities according to current and visibility. In the evening, we enter a lagoon and go to visit another lagoon hidden deep in the rocks. Night dive outside of the lagoon. The boat will then sail to the Dampier Strait.

DAY 12 – PENEMU / 3-4 dives

DAY 13 – DAMPIER / 3-4 dives

A first morning dive at Citrus – at the entrance of the Dampier strait, a channel with sloping sides covered with soft corals and life-then with a reliable manta ray congregation at manta sandy.

DAY 14 – DAMPIER / 2 dives

Cape Kri, one of the largest concentrations of big fish in northern Raja Ampat; schools of trevally, barracudas, bannerfish, and sweetlips. Night dive two other famous and fabulous dives in the Dampier Strait, Chicken reef and sardine reef. The boat will sail to Sorong where it will arrive during the evening.

DAY 15

Last day of the cruise. Farewell and group pictures. Disembarkation and assistance for check-in at Sorong Airport.

Marine Life: At least 75 percent of all coral species can be found in Raja Ampat, divers can expect a range of topography from soft corals and sea fans, to hard corals, seagrass beds, mangroves, shallow reefs, deep drop-offs, caves, black sand, and white sand. Giant manta rays, sea turtles, sharks, cuttlefish, pipefish, various seahorse species, and massive schools of reef fish are the norm, plus the delightful wobbegong sharks and epaulette sharks inhabit these waters too.

The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.
