About - Liveaboard Indonesia

Who we are

We’re a specialist team based in Indonesia, helping travellers from around the world book the right liveaboard for their trip. From Raja Ampat phinisi to Komodo yachts, we work directly with the operators so you talk to one team from inquiry to embarkation. From the 180+ boat options, we’ll match you with the one that fits you.

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

We’re a team of divers and travel planners based in Indonesia. Our work is helping you sort through the boats, routes, and seasons — so by the time you book, you know what you’re getting and why it fits your trip.

WHY WE STARTED THIS

Indonesia has more world-class liveaboards than any country on Earth — 180+ boats sailing routes from Raja Ampat to Komodo. Picking the right one isn’t easy. Boats look similar online, prices vary widely, and itineraries that read the same on paper can be very different in practice.

We started Liveaboard Indonesia to make that choice simpler. One Indonesia-based team, a curated selection of boats, and straightforward advice about the differences between them.

WHO YOU'LL TALK TO

Behind every booking, a few different roles working together.

Divers –  Most of our team dives, so when we talk about a boat or a route, it’s from a diver’s point of view — not just a sales perspective.

Travel planners –  We help with the trip beyond the boat: domestic flights, transfers, transit hotels, dive insurance, and the land bits. One conversation, the whole trip sorted.

Working with the boats – We work closely with the operators and crews on the boats we list, which helps us answer questions about cabins, food, dive deck setup, and what each itinerary is actually like.

Based in Indonesia – Our team is here in Indonesia (GMT+8), so messages usually get answered during local business hours.

WAVES, WONDERS, AND WILDERNESS

Indonesia has more than 17,000 islands and some of the most diverse marine life on the planet. From the manta corridors of Komodo to the coral gardens of Raja Ampat, the volcanic walls of the Banda Sea, and the whale shark bays of Cenderawasih — each region has its own character, season, and rhythm.

A liveaboard is often the best way to reach these places, especially the ones beyond the reach of day boats. We help you figure out which region fits the time of year you can travel, the kind of diving you want, and the pace of trip that suits you.

MORE THAN ONE WAY TO EXPLORE

Different destinations suit different trips. Komodo for the dragons, mantas, and Padar viewpoint. Raja Ampat for the coral diversity and karst landscapes. The Banda Sea for hammerheads and the Spice Islands. Cenderawasih for whale sharks year-round. The Forgotten Islands for those willing to commit to a 12-night journey to the most untouched corner of the country.

Some travelers come for the diving. Some for the photography. Some for a family adventure their kids will remember. Some to charter a boat for a milestone trip. All of them get the same attention from our team.
