Air Manis Dive Site in

Ambon

On paper, Air Manis seems not an ideal place to dive as the location is right on the active pier where boats pass by. But once you go underwater, the noise from the jetty is replaced by the presence of beautiful critters.

Different species of crabs, cuttlefish, frogfish, lionfish, batfish, flounders, nudibranchs, gobies, butterfly fish, and moray eels are making this area their home among the debris accumulated throughout the years.

The best time to dive here is in the morning or late afternoon, when the sun shines through the pillars underwater, giving a dramatic background for photography. Also, prepare your camera for some actions of schooling butterflyfish feeding on the pier’s posts.
