Batu Kapal Dive Site in

Banda Islands

If you ask anyone about the most well-known dive site in Banda, there’s a chance the answer would be Batu Kapal. With its pinnacles and steep walls, gorgonians and colorful barrel sponges cover the slope with Moray eels, which dominate the area, and tooth triggerfish swimming nearby.

On this site, four different colored scorpionfish are spotted, as well as other fish like gobies, barracudas, trevallies, blennies, snappers, fusiliers, sweetlips, damselfish, and surgeonfish, among others. There is also a chance to see grey reef sharks and different species of turtles, especially hawksbill and green sea turtles.
