Dili Rock West Dive Site in

Timor

Like the name, this dive site is located in the west part of Dili, close to the Tasi Tolu dive site. If the latter is known for muck diving, Dili Rock West is more of a reef diving.

The entrance to Dili Rock West can only be accessed during the high tide, making it a must-visit site in Timor-Leste when the opportunity arises. Though considered a shallow dive, this spot is decorated with soft and hard corals, sponges, and sea fans. The formation of pavona clovus corals is apparent here. Different species of nudibranchs, scorpionfish, shrimps, parrotfish, octopus, pygmy seahorses, and crabs can be found around this dive site. Turtles, reef sharks, whales, and dolphins are also commonly seen.
