This dive site on Banggai Island is shallow as it only has a depth of 2 to 10 meters. But this is one of the perfect spots to observe Banggai cardinal fish, the endemic fish from the Banggai Islands. This fish is unique as it is one of the few marine fish without any larval stage. This fish is considered endangered due to significant numbers being captured in the wild.
Banggai cardinalfish can often be seen among sea anemones, sea urchins, and branching corals—a small population of this magnificent fish can also be found around the Luwuk Harbor.
