Lehaga Island Dive Site in

Bangka

Located in the southwestern part of Gangga Island, Lehaga slopes down to 25 meters, with soft and hard corals forming a coral garden with their many shapes and vibrant colors. Anemones, leaf scorpionfish, bumphead parrotfish, and different species of eels, mainly Moray and ribbon, can be seen scuttling around the coral reef. But the main attraction of this particular dive site is the mandarin fish.

Once the sun sinks, the males of this fish start the mating dance ritual to attract their female counterparts. They can be found among the Acropora corals, flashing their shades of blue and green at around 5:30 PM before going their separate ways after the mating ritual.
