Technically, it’s not a dive site because it’s not located in the open sea, and fins are prohibited here, but we include this spot as this is one of the three marine lakes or saltwater lakes in Misool and the only ones in Raja Ampat. The deepest one compared to Karawapop and Keramat, this site is unique due to the evolution of jellyfish that do not sting.

The lack of predators in these lakes has made the jellyfish stingless. The depth of this lake is ‘only’ 18 meters, and you can swim alongside hundreds—maybe thousands— of upside-down and spotted jellies.

In order to protect the habitat, it is important to follow regulations because the ecosystem here is quite delicate.
