This dive site is known explicitly as the cleaning station for manta rays. Instead of just one, two manta ray species are frequently seen in the area. Both oceanic manta rays—the largest manta in the world—and reef manta rays are often found doing their cleaning ritual by letting small fishes feed the parasites off their bodies. You can also spot black manta rays, the melanistic ones found only in Raja Ampat and Ecuador.
The location of Magic Mountain, which is open to oceanic currents, attracts some other pelagic species like white tip sharks, multicolored soft and hard corals, and various types of reef fish.
