Tifore Island Dive Site in

Halmahera

On the map, this island lies in the middle of the Molucca Sea with no surrounding islands nearby. Located between Halmahera and North Sulawesi, Tifore often becomes the stopover for Liveaboard during their service to/from Raja Ampat.

The dive site on this remote island is astonishing as it is in the open sea. Soft and hard corals, sea fans, and sponges expose their striking and vibrant colors while reef fish species such as butterflyfish, angelfish, damselfish, triggerfish, parrotfish, lionfish, and surgeonfish swim nearby. Once the sun has set, do not miss the chance to see the mandarin fish do its mating ritual.

Barracudas, big-eye trevallies, fusiliers, Napoleon wrasse, and groupers gliding in groups, giving an extraordinary show of their movements. Whitetip, blacktip, and grey sharks are frequent visitors in this region.
